Proposal/Treatments/Project outlines
A proposal is a document that you present to someone with your ideas based on audience and client requirements. It can be a great way to refine the project as sharing it with someone may offer new ideas and help you with the project. For it our need to understand the purpose of your product (Inform?, Persuade? …) you also need to understand your audience, equipment and contents. This would be used for all media products. It would include things such as:
Production Schedule/work plan
Is a schedule that is used to plan the movie or show that you are working on, Also it tells you the personnel, equipment and deadlines needed.
Swot analysis
shows the client you have thought about the benefits and how you can take the project further t also tell them the competitors.
Asset log
All the different production elements. Tells you where you are getting footage, equipment or other parts of the production
Call sheets
Helps know who is bringing the equipment
Risk assessment
Helps understand different risk that may be a problem on set.
Recces
a recess is a scout for risks that could affect the set production it goes from a low risk- median risk- high risk. so we have to tell people what you are gonna put in place to minimize that risk.
Storyboard
Orders the audio visual project. tells us the shot type/camera movements, key sound and outlines who is involved and what actors are where. A story board would be for an audio visual product such as movies, shows, music videos, animation and video games
Script
what is being said by actors and or narrators. for film, tv, animation and radio as well as video games, youtube videos, advertisements and vlogs
Movement script
detailed script about camera work and other things that are used on set
Concept art
First initial ideas of the characters and character logo design
Visualisation diagram
A draft of a poster or advertising and can be used for front covers of magazines. We would colour it in or analyse it so we can identify colours, house style, position of images, font styles and types of images used in the product. They say why we have chosen this against the brief and what are our decisions.
Flat plan/wireframe
Are for websites and tells us the colour schemes, font style and navigation of the website or app. As Well as having an explanation as to why you have chose this.
Prototype
A basic version of the product to show how it works. It is an early working version. Can be used for games, apps and websites it is mostly for interactive products.
Page mock up
For print production and shows us were images, title and layout is gonna go. Annotations would relate to the brief.
Set design document
Where are props, characters and setting is gonna be in the shot. Would be used in video games, TV, film, documentaries and animation.
Form (consent/release)
Are used for permission of use of settings and actors or artists for moves, tv or music videos.
Site structure diagram
Hierarchy diagram that shows everything needed for the apps and websites so that the client can get an idea of how to navigate the app or website.
