Summary of each one
PRS describes itself as committed to protecting the value of music and ensuring our members are represented. This means that it ensures that your music would be protected from copyright infringement, it will also ensure that the music that you create will be represented as yours. It also works to collect royalties through licensing agreements with music users, which will allow the creators to earn revenue from their work. All this was to help fund new music and also to support the future of music.
The copyright and ownership law was created to protect written, theatrical, musical and, artistic works. This is designed to protect original work and help support small or big creators from people targeting and illegally streaming their music. If someone wants to use your copyrighted work, they will need to seek your permission to use it (there are a few exceptions), which usually involves paying a fee, unless you waive it. Often you will need to sign an agreement that holds copyright ownership. Used most often in publishing employers would normally make a copyright agreement with employees in exchange for commercial agreement.
Film and TV productions often require long hours in challenging locations working to a fast turnaround. By having proper H&S procedures in place, you are playing your part in keeping everyone you work with safe. How involved you are in this process and how much responsibility you carry depends on your role. In health and safety you should always complete any recces and risk assessments to. this is to ensure the safety of each person, and thing working on set such as the camera crew, equipment, presenters, lighting and other things.
Contracts of work include agreements that show the details of working terms and conditions such as numbers of performances, hours, breaks, health and safety, dispute procedures, usage rights, royalties and touring etc. These are used to make sure that you can film in specific locations and that the actors have agreed to everything. Equity also offers a pension scheme. Artists have the option of opting into the scheme on each contract. The Production then needs to ensure that the appropriate deductions are made and the employer’s contribution paid into the scheme.
Media regulations are used to ensure the music video does not have problems and that the content is within it is appropriate for its audience. The BBFC mostly monitors the content within the music videos and is the reason things such as censorship are so common in music videos. This is all to protect parents and children from clicking on the wrong music video. All music videos by artists signed to Sony Music UK, Universal Music UK, Warner Music UK and all UK independent labels that are unsuitable for children under 12 will be classified with a BBFC age rating, which is displayed next to the video when it is published on YouTube. The kinds of issues the BBFC considers in classifying music videos include bad language, dangerous behaviour presented as safe, drug misuse, sexual behaviour and nudity, and threatening behaviour and violence.
Task 2
.PRS-We pay royalties for the use of our members' music on TV through licensing agreements with broadcasters, including the BBC, Sky, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. This would be useful as it would allow us to secure agreements with artists for our music tv channel.
.A secondary source for copyright laws would be the DMCA laws as they protect artists music from being streamed illegally. For the case study this would be useful as normally in publishing copyright agreements are usually exchanged for commercial agreement.
.This health and safety website, https://www.hse.gov.uk/manufacturing/index.htm, explains the importance to complete recces and safety drills to prevent people from being hurt and from equipment from being broken. For us this website could show us specific ways in which safety procedure's are completed.

.This website helps you understand what a release from is and why someone would need it. From this we can deduct that actors and production team would need release from for production as it would show them what they would need to do for their role or job
.https://www.bbfc.co.uk/ This link goes to the BBFC website which focuses on the content in the music videos and if it is ok for parents and children. This would help us regulate our censorships of videos and ensure no further action takes place.
